CAST Pre-Service Teacher Award

CONGRATULATIONS to Maxine Morris - awarded the 2018 CAST Pre-Service Teacher Award!

Maxine Morris completed her student teaching during the Spring of 2018 at Green Mountain High School under the mentorship of Jo Tiwari. Maxine taught both honors and AP Chemistry!  Jo says of Maxine:

"Maxine’s personality is one that makes students feel very comfortable with her.  She is very creative and dramatic in a way that captures their attention while focusing on chemistry.  Ask Maxine about her molecule dance. Students are very willing to come in for help during her planning periods or before/after school. Her students always feel safe in asking questions and willing to take risks by answering questions in front of the class."

It is exciting to be able to celebrate talented teachers like Maxine. She will receive $500 from CAST in recognition of her achievements.
