About CAST
The Colorado Association of Science Teachers (CAST) is a nonprofit 501(c)(6) professional organization dedicated to connecting, supporting, and empowering science educators throughout Colorado. CAST is a statewide community that celebrates and supports science educators at every level — from elementary classrooms to middle and high schools, colleges and universities, and informal learning environments across Colorado. Guided by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, regional directors, and appointed board members, CAST brings science educators together to collaborate, share ideas, and strengthen science teaching and learning throughout the state. |

Through professional learning, networking, advocacy, recognition programs, grant opportunities, and a statewide community of passionate educators, CAST helps educators grow their practice and create meaningful, engaging science experiences for learners of all ages. CAST also supports educators in developing leadership skills and expanding their impact through volunteer opportunities, professional involvement, and experiences that align with Colorado educator professional growth and evaluation goals.
